Wild Within is a collaboratively made, mixed-media art project.
Led by Sophie – graphic designer turned traditional artist, supported by her partner Thom.
Based in the heart of the Brecon Beacons / Bannau Brycheiniog, Wales.
We are currently working towards bringing Wild Within to markets & fairs across Mid Wales.
Online, you can explore our artwork and we offer a small selection of prints (coming soon), greetings cards, bookmarks and commissions.
How it's Made
Every Wild Within artwork begins with a silhouette, often sketched by Thom, sometimes drawn by Sophie or at other times developed digitally.
These starting forms are then transformed through layers of watercolour, graphite pencil, acrylic, gel pens and fine liners. Filling the shape with entangled botanical glyphs.
Creating intricate artworks inspired by nature, memory and the connections between living things.
